*ahem* greetings and salutations the dA. how fare thee?
how about a real journal update from your local evil corp. representative ammotu?
....no? too bad. here it is anyway.

~i'll be straight with you, ammotu hasn't been doing too much art-wise of late. sketching some g.i. joe stuff, fooling around a tad with some 'dress-up' pieces but otherwise not much. you may blame that on my desire to read every single g.i. joe comic i can get a hold of. i love 'em. why did no one tell me before how awesome they are?
pretty much, i got a little bored with transformers, as i've watched and read everything out that i care to. and frankly the new transformers animated show isn't keeping my interest. so moving on to g.i. joe seemed like the next logical jump.
like i said i've really been enjoying the comics, so i would be expecting more fanarts if i were you. i'm thinking maybe zartan and some other dreadnoks next. if you've got any favorite joes/cobras you'd like to see me have a go at, drop me a name and i'll put 'em on my 'to-do' list.
~i've got those cc doodles [link] all colored up but i decided i ought to try and do up some real backgrounds. so who knows when i'll actually post those. not super keen on drawing backgrounds i am lol.
~as for that 'dress-up' stuff i've been toying with, it's mostly psuedo-military type stuff added on to my last game. almost a villians type expansion thing. would anybody be interested if i get that finished up? or should i not post anything till i do up a whole new game?

I figured it was about time I put together a more comprehensive commission guide to try and answer the questions I usually get and clear up exactly what I mean by what. This way I’ll have something convenient to link back to.

Types:

Basic Character Design Line-art- $5 per character

Basic character design, full-body, simple posing, no background. Original line-art available to be mailed, you pay for shipping. (if shipped, 8.5x11 pages only)
How long will it take?* About 1 day per character.

Basic Character Design Colored- $10 per character

Basic character design, full-body, simple posing, inked or digitally drawn, digital ‘cell-shade’ style colors, minimal or no background.
How long will it take?* About 1 day per character.

Inked Line-art- $10
Example: [link]
Detailed single character image, inked, minimal or no background. Add $7 for every additional character in the image, or $5 for detailed background. Original line-art available to be mailed, you pay for shipping. Digital inking is also available, please specify if this is your preference.
How long will it take?* About 3+ days.

Cell-shade Colors- $15

Detailed single character image, inked or digitally drawn, minimal background, digital ‘cell-shaded’ style colors. Add $8 for every additional character in the image, or $5 for detailed background.

How long will it take?* About 2+ weeks.

Vector Portrait- $10

Reference Required. Photoshop vector-style portrait, from reference only available.
How long will it take?* About 3+ days.

Reference Policy:
It is not absolutely necessary to send me references, however if you are commissioning an original character or fan-character I would highly prefer if you did. The more I have to go off of the better. If you are commissioning fanart, please send references only if you think the character is obscure enough to be hard to find. I’m familiar with a lot of American cartoons and comics, some video games, and not too many anime/manga characters.

Size:
Unless you specify otherwise, I usually work at 11x14 or 11x17 300 dpi. If you prefer a different size, you must let me know. Traditional inks are not available any larger than 11x14.

Payment:
I take PayPal. If you prefer something else, you must discuss it with me first.

Shipping:
If you want an original line-art shipped to you, you pay for shipping. If you want a print shipped to you, you pay for printing and shipping. Otherwise everything is sent digitally.

*All times are an estimate and not a guarantee. If I have other commissions queued, times will obviously be longer.

~I'm going to say catch my 30k for kiriban-y goodness. I realize it's a little ways off, but sometimes it moves fast and surprises me. So keep an eye out
~I wish dA would put the search system back the way it used to be. You know back when you could search by poplular and actually get good results. Granted it's nice seeing somewhat different stuff on the front page, but if I'm going to search I want to search the actually popular stuff. Because it usually is popular for a reason. Basically, when I search 'green lantern' I don't want one of the top results to be a colored pencil drawing of a green paper lantern

~I'm curious, what does dA think about fanfiction? I love to write, but it's always been my own stories before, my never-ending supply of unfinished concepts. I have never written fanfiction before. But in the last week or so find myself vastly amused by writing some. I know there's a lot of really awful fanfiction out there though. So if I ever finish something, would anybody care to bother to read it? Just throwing it out there. I bet I get no response. Figured I'd ask anyway.
